Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

Manuscript Structure

  1. Title
The title should be concise, clear, and informative, no more than 15 words. It should reflect the topic discussed and avoid uncommon abbreviations. The main idea should come first, followed by any explanatory phrases.

  2. Author Name and Affiliation
The author’s name should be accompanied by their institutional affiliation and email address, without academic titles or positions.

  3. Abstract
The abstract should be written in both Indonesian and English, consisting of a single paragraph that includes: background, purpose, research method, results, and conclusion.

  4. Keywords
Provide three to five keywords or phrases that are relevant and specific to the article, but general enough within the discipline. Use lowercase letters except for proper names.

  5. Introduction
This section should include sufficient background, a brief literature review to highlight existing methods/solutions, identify gaps or limitations in previous research, and outline the purpose and scientific contribution of the study. Avoid detailed literature surveys or summary results. The objective of the article should be clearly stated at the end.

  6. Methods
This section describes the research approach, subjects, materials and instruments, data collection procedures, and analysis techniques. The explanation should inform readers about the type and method used in the study. Avoid direct definitions from books or other sources.

  7. Results and Discussion

    • Results should be clear and concise, focusing on summarizing findings rather than detailed data.

    • Highlight any differences between your results and previous studies.

    • Discussion should interpret the findings, not repeat the results. It is the most important part of your article and should:

      • Relate the results to your initial questions or objectives (what?)

      • Provide scientific interpretation (why?)

      • Compare your findings with previous studies (what else?), noting consistencies or discrepancies.

    • This section may include tables, figures, charts, or diagrams, all of which must be centered, numbered sequentially (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1), titled, and referred to in the text.

    • Use Times New Roman 12 pt, 1.5 spacing for main text; Times New Roman 11 pt, single spacing for table/figure/chart text.

  8. Conclusion
The conclusion should address the research objectives and findings. It must be concise, clear, and to the point, based on the results and discussion, and written in paragraph form (not a numbered list). Avoid merely repeating previous sections. Suggestions for future research may be included.

  9. Acknowledgments (if applicable)
Use this section to acknowledge any support not covered by author contributions or funding disclosures, such as administrative or technical assistance, or material donations.

  10. References

  • Only sources cited in the article should be listed in the references.

  • Reference formatting must use applications like Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote, etc., to avoid duplication or citation errors.

  • Use Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition (Full Note) citation style.

  • At least 80% of references should consist of journal articles, proceedings, or relevant research published within the last five years.
